View from the west
The postcard publisher Silchmüller Munich captured the ruins after the Second World War in some cards. The view of the Mariahilfkirche, of which only parts of the west and south facades remained, is seen here through the rubble of the buildings on the western side of the Mariahilfplatz. The church and the surrounding square were severely damaged by bombing in April 1944.
