This mural depicts Pedro Pietri, one of the co-founders of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and a major figure of the Nuyorican poetry movement. The mural, which adorns the facade of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe's Lower East Side building in New York City, was commissioned by the Cafe from local painter Chico in 2004. The mural was retouched by Chico in 2012.
