These Murano goblets, made in large quantities from 1525-1550, showcase the remarkable purity of "cristallo (clear glass)" and the independent artistic expression of glassmaking. This period saw glassblowing move beyond imitation of other arts and develop its own distinct style. These delicate glass pieces are crafted with the traditional technique of blowing and then refined with tweezers.
