Silk, a masterfully crafted material, allows for endless possibilities in color and design. From the mid-19th century, fabrics became prized collectibles, offering insights into the manufacturing processes that created them. The Museo Medievale houses a collection of 600 silk fragments, gathered by Francesco Silvestrini and Enrico Lambertini, and acquired by the city in the early 20th century.
