The Buton Liquor Distillery's journey began in 1820 when Giacomo Rovinazzi, a pastry chef at the Pavaglione, met Jean Buton, a Napoleonic veteran from a family of distillers in the Charente region. The company became known for its diverse range of distillates and achieved great success in the 20th century, particularly with the launch of the 'Vecchia Romagna' brandy in 1939. This brandy quickly became iconic for its unique triangular bottle.
