Milano, Italy

The trophy, made by Bruno Munari, represents the wheel composed with the insertion of a triangle in a double circumference providing a chiaroscuro measured with geometric rule and drawing straight and curved lines separating the shadow areas from the illuminated ones. Bruno Munari takes up the concept of the wheel, already used by Giò Pomodoro the previous year. The wheel gives the idea of the vehicle in action, of dynamics, of speed, accentuating in those 1960s the association between Alfa Romeo and formula car racing. The trophy was presented to the drivers in 1967, among whom can be mentioned: Arnaldo Cavailari, Mauro Nesti, Andrea De Adamich, "Tony," "Geki," "Riccardone," "Nanni," Enrico Pinto, Teodoro Zeccoli
