Milano, Italy

The trophy designed by Luciano Minguzzi to exalt Alfa Romeo's sporting victories consists of a rectangular plaque, which bears inserted a plate with a dedication to the racer, and an emblematic fragment, suggesting the shape of a wing. Luciano Minguzzi, an explicitly figurative artist, with this work tries to link the prize of the race to the anonymous value of all the manufacturers who had redeemed the factory by working not only for the automobile but also to build trucks, buses, motors of motoscagi, and trolleybuses that meanwhile take hold with the years of the economic boom. The award was presented to the racers in 1965, among whom can be mentioned Andrea De Adamich, Sandro Munari, Teodoro Zeccoli, Giancarlo Baghetti, Nino Vaccarella, Ignaziono Giunti, Enrico Pinto.
