With this motorbike, the prestigious Birmingham-based manufacturer achieved some of its most important successes, such as Derek Minter winning the 1962 British Championship in the Senior, Junior and 250 classes, an excellent second place in the Dutch Grand Prix and countless placings that made him one of the most successful riders on tracks all over the world. The motorbike, which comes from the Birmingham Museum, is equipped with the famous "Featherbed" frame, so christened by some riders to celebrate its high degree of comfort, and the "short-stroke" engine, a modification designed to improve its performance.
