One of the most ancient european industrial realities and still in business. In the second half of the 18th century, Jean Pierre Peugeot already owns a business of dry cleaners and weaving factories. His sons Jean Pierre Junior and Jean Frederic later built a steel foundry and a rolling mill. In 1882 Peugeot built a bicycle, then started making tricycles and quadricycles, powered by a De Dion engine. The first motorbike project was designed in 1899 and sold from 1901. This Peugeot 2 HP motorbike is powered by a 4-stroke single-cylinder vertical engine and produces 2 hp that allows it to get to 50 kph on flat surface.
