Nagada: This is a traditional music intrument also known as India kettle drums. Usually it has a diameter of 1-2 feet and half oval shape. The rounded section of a nagada is made of baked clay, while the flat side consists of treated skin fastened around the rim with string which is tightened over the back of the bowl. Couplets and quatrains from Ramcharitmanas written by Kabir Das during medieval period are sung repeatedly to the beats of this instrument.
