The Chamber of the Angels takes its name by the decoration carried out in the ceiling by Michelangelo Cinganelli. In the four angular panels, are depicted groups of angels suspended on the clouds and playing several musical instruments. In the side lunette we find: above the Militant Church, three angels holding lilies and flowers for the Virgin, books and pen for the Doctors and a fashes for the Martyrs; above the Triumphant Church three more angels holding crowns: one in silver, one of rubies and one in gold.
