Stanisław Batowski-Kaczor (1866-1946) was a painter of battle scenes and illustrator, and a graduate of art schools in Kraków and Munich. He lived in Paris and Rome. Ultimately, he returned to his home town of Lviv, opening and running his own school of painting, the Free Academy of Art, in the years 1903-1914.
