Stirrup jar decorated with geometric and stylised floral motifs on the shoulder. Mycenaean pottery, made of purified clay using a potter’s wheel, was imported from the mid 2nd millennium BC onwards by various settlements in the Gulf of Taranto, including Saturo-Porto Perone on the coast to the south-east of the city.
