Mystical nuptials of Saint Catherine

The set of works of "Los Desposorios de Santa Catalina" (The Nuptials of St. Catherine) made up the altarpiece of the Main Chapel of the Convento de Capuchinos in Cádiz. This altarpiece was ; the last great work commissioned from Murillo. Everything seems to indicate that the artist died as a result of a fall which he suffered while he was painting the main painting. The altarpiece was completed by his follower Meneses Osorio.
