Yin Zhaoyang graduated from the Engraving Department of China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1996. Now he is working and living in Beijing. Yin is one of representative artists in the wave of new paintings emerging in the 1990s. He takes the special circumstances that contemporary young people live in as his theme. His artworks exaggerate the visual story and highlighted vividly a special existence of the contemporary young people. People in the ancient time always preferred stones, such as the Foolish Old Man who wanted to move the mountain, the bird Jingwei who tried to fill the sea, Kuafu who ran after the sun, and many other myths. Through these cultural backgrounds, we can easily understand Yin's creating motivation. The myth demonstrates mankind's enormous life energy and heroism. This painting is one of the series of Myth.
