Nadege du Bospertus on Chanel Runway, Vogue

In Paris, on the Chanel Haute Couture runway, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, model Nadege du Bospertus wears a sleeveless white gown with gold Empire waist, gold fasteners at the shoulders, a tulip hem, and a sheer train. Styled with large gold earrings and wide gold bracelets. The ensemble was inspired by a portrait of Madame Recamier painted by French Neoclassical artist Jacques-Louis David in 1800, which was in turn inspired by Grecian dress.
