Radiation treatment of a girl with Naevus pigmentosus piliforus, a malformation of the skin leading to a hirsuite habitus (right side). The hairiness vanished, but the girl got a big ulcer (left side). The Viennese dermatologist Leopold Freund (1868-1943), the doctor in charge, can be regarded as founder of radiation therapy.
