Nair Lady With A Mirror

This work depicts a lady brushing her hair; these were some of the common sights that Ravi Varma grew up witnessing and proof of it comes in the number of paintings that he made resembling an everyday scene. A most common theme that he repeated was that of a woman stringing jasmine flowers in her hair. This painting belongs to the Government Museum, Chennai.
