Nameplate

This glass desktop nameplate from the St. Luke Hall belonged to Maggie Walker's daughter-in-law, Hattie Naomi Frasure (Frazier) Walker. Though Hattie had married into the Walker family, her devotion to the Independent Order of St. Luke ran deeper than blood ties. She held a variety of official positions and ultimately replaced Maggie Walker as the chief executive officer of the order following Mrs. Walker's passing in 1934.
