Napoli glassware was only made by Mt. Washington Glass Company for two years, from 1894-1896. It was created and patented by Albert Steffin, head of Mt. Washington. The colored enameling is applied literally, to the inside of the glass, and that design is outlined on the outside of the vase, in gilt. These pieces were always signed in gilt, "Napoli."
