Naqsh-e Rustam, Elamite ruler

Sometime around the 8th-7th century BC a male worshiper was added around the right corner of the ancient panel. He stands oriented toward the panel making a worshiping gesture, or possibly holding a small animal. His head and feet are in profile, while the rest of his body is shown frontally to emphasize his broad shoulders and narrow waist. He has a beard and probably a pair of long sidelocks. He wears a headdress with a visor at the front and ties (?) at the back and a long ceremonial garment with broad V-shaped bands on the shoulders and chest, perhaps originally incorporating fringes, and a bell-shaped skirt.
