Native Americans, preferably those who lived on the Great Plains, would construct these by using long wooden poles in a cylinder shape then covered with animal skins. They were used to house important meetings and ceremonies, which was nice because they accommodated about 50 people. Several tribes chose this kind of shelter because they were easy to set up and take down, which comes in handy when they are traveling to different hunting grounds.
