Nautilus

Nautilus is a mysterious living fossil, which witnesed flora and fauna of the Cambrian Period. They appeared on Earth before humans did, and they might as well outlast us.

Many writers gave him a special role in their works. It seems to exist in another, subspace reality and tells time "I will swim as much as I want and as I want". Here the Nautilus is the guardian of time and the symbol of the infinite.
