Nave sul monte

Nave sul monte was produced during the 2020 period of quarantine, when many countries around the world went into lockdown to tackle the spread of Covid-19. It’s a personal response to crisis, uncertainty, and altered states of being.

"The best time to admire the Castel Beseno, is during the night, I open the window to breathe the fresh air of the evening and the eye falls right there on that beautiful castle illuminated by white and orange spotlights. Many people over the years have said that at night it looks like a ship crossing a black-green sea. I made the illustration at night with a brush and black ink, I scanned the image and I colored and digitally arranged." Michela Plotegher
