Necklace (hansuli)

The hoop-shaped torque necklace (hansuli) centers on a multi-petalled flowerhead set with white sapphires and surrounded by pearls. The hoop of the necklace is set with a row of gem-set flowers and leaves on a blue enamel ground. The enamelled arc at the back opens to fit the jewel around the neck. The underside of the torque is decorated with polychrome enamel.
