Of the 244 beads and pendants in the necklace, the most interesting is the unique gold spacer (a spacer is a plaque which separated the threads on which the beads were strung). The spacer bears the face of the Egyptian goddess Hathor, the goddess of love and joy. It is decorated in the repoussé technique.
