Necklaces

These stone necklaces were found in a grave in the ancient city of Jemdet Nasr in southern Iraq, together with a bronze pin and human skeletal remains. They were interred to accompany the deceased on their journey to the hereafter. The necklaces were in a pottery pitcher.
