This film was made in the first decennial of Netaji’s disappearance. Hemen Gupta served as Private Secretary of Subhashchandra Bose. A radical activist in 1930-32 Civil Disobedience Movement around Midnapore District of Bengal. He was jailed from 1932 to 1938. His film Bhuli Naai and ’42 are based on this period of his life.
