“Full participation and equality should be the cornerstone of all those who work for the disabled.” Satyan inscribed the back of this photograph of two young boys on a grassy field with these powerful words. This boy beams up at his friend in joy who holds him with one hand on the shoulder while the other hand clutches his fingers. One of the boys has a brace on the leg that is visible to the viewer and he is using crutches.
