Newark Station

Station names painted on Märklin’s toys could be tailored upon request. This example, painted “Newark,” is one of two custom toy stations in the Jerni Collection. Other known examples range from major East Coast terminals to obscure rural whistle stops, suggesting the broad reach of Märklin’s United States distribution in the early twentieth century.
