NEWCARMA

From the Artist: “NEWCARMA” is my mixed media version of what 2020 truly needed. Combining an old vanity license plate, a beautiful cracked wine bottle, protective crystals and decorative door hardware, I presented what the future could look like. Can we enter an entirely new cycle of cause and effect? Shaping the glass into lungs represented being able to take a deep breathe once again. The animal energies pictured are as follows: The pelican symbolizes strength and social responsibility. Quetzal symbolizes freedom and wealth. The horse is the power that comes from being free. The butterfly represents balance, freedom and transformation. The seahorse is freedom, contentment and power. The crab is intuitive, shy, highly sensitive and gentle. The pyrite on the door handle is a protective stone that shields the user from negative energy. Taken all together, this piece reflects my hope that love can prevail over hate and and that we can all begin to heal.
