Improvements at the Synchro-cyclotron

From 1963-65, an improvements programme for the CERN 600 MeV synchro-cyclotron was evolved. The aim of the improvements was to adapt the machine and its associated experimental facilities to the growing needs of the physics research using the machine. In photo 142 one can see the centre of the machine as seen from the neutron platform.
