Nicky

Caz says: "This painting is for Nicky. She is a nurse who was seconded to the Intensive Care Unit in Sheffield from the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been my great privilege to celebrate Nicky's selfless, brave and generous heart. Thanks to Tom Croft who initiated #portraitsforNHSheroes so artists can honour NHS heroes amongst us."

Nicky says: "I was really blown away by the portrait, as a lovely memento of an important time in my career. It was a real privilege to be involved in the care of such sick patients. It's changed my life as I've decided to stay working in the ICU."
