The portrait of the astronomer in a circle, with the bust facing right. Inscription: „MIKOŁAJ KOPERNIK – 500TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY 1473–1973“. Stanisław Rolicz, graphic artist, painter, educator. In the 1930s, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius, then continued his studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Fine Arts, and obtained his diploma at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń in 1948. He was a student of Ludomir Sleńdziński, Bronisław Jamontt, and Jerzy Hoppen. He spent his life and artistic activities in the Tricity area. He mainly practiced woodcut, etching, and copperplate engraving.
