The most powerful image of force and its increase in African art is the Nimba Mask of the Baga of Guinea with its massive cantilevered head. Nimba is the spirit or goddess of increase among the Baga, and the awesome effect of the appearance from the bush of her great image, with its cultured promise of plenty can easily be imagined. By its side, the European symbole of the cornucopia (horn of plenty) seems trivial. This mask brought together Joseph Murumbi and Allan Donovan, who later formed on of the most famous institutions in Kenya - The African Heritage- in 1972. The mask become the logo of the company.
