Cardiff City originated in 1899 and established itself at Ninian Park, its first permanent home, in 1910. Built on the site of a rubbish tip beside the Taff Vale railway the ground was named after club benefactor Lord Ninian Crichton Stuart. This Aerofilms view shows the ground laid out to host a boxing match.
