Nishan(Devi ka jhanda): It is a symbol of the community and represents the ancestrol deity. It is kept in the temple and taken out on auspicious occassions like weddings and other major festivals. It's made up of hair from the Yak's tail which can be white or black and a fabric of either red or white color. It can be decorated with Pea-cock feathers, ornamental leaves and flowers. There are two flags in every village, the one with the white fabric permanent resides in the temple and the other with red fabric used during processions. The cloth is bought from the temple collection or may be donated by any family of the village. During holi festival, on second day men of the village visits each and every house with "Nishan" in the village where the house owner worships the nishan and pray for good luck of his family and village.
