Two panoramic views of cities on one sheet: the city of Nysa at the top, and the city of Legnica at the bottom. In the foreground of both pictures - figures wearing regional costumes, further away - panoramas of the cities with a list of the most important buildings, at the top - the cities’ coats of arms. The cartouches in the bottom right corners of the engravings read: “Nissaa Silesior fedes Episcopalis” and “Leginicium”. This coloured copper-plate engraving comes from the last volume of Georg Braun and Franz Hogenberg’s „Civitates orbis terrarum” of 1617. The first volume of "Civitates Orbis terrarum” was published in Köln in 1572, the last and final volume appeared in 1617. The huge atlas of cities contains 546 panoramas, bird's eye views, and maps of cities from all over the word.
