Nationally Important Cultural Property
This is one of the six wooden standing statues of Zao Gongen. It was enshrined in addition to the central figure. It is 99.0cm tall and is made from one piece of hinoki wood. A scientific investigation estimates that the wood was felled in 1025. This makes it a model for being the oldest carved statue of Zao Gongen in Japan.
