The Visual Arts Collective of Zaragoza was one of the Zaragozan groups most involved with the Transition, placing itself within the postulates of committed art. In accordance with its commitment, the CPZ put social, cultural and political activism into practice which was mainly directed toward demanding improvements for the barrio neighborhoods. As part of the actions carried out by the CPZ, the mural painting was its biggest initiative. It conceived these interventions as "a form of communication through painting, simultaneously using it as a way of demystifying art, until that day when everyone can pick up a brush and express themselves on the walls." This panel was created with the goal of being used as a banner in a demonstration organized by the Almozara Family Heads Association (Asociación de Cabezas de Familia de la Almozara) to reclaim the streets of this Zaragozan barrio, with the aim of demanding the creation of more green zones for the barrio, All this was given the characteristic pop aesthetic implemented by the collective creators in every one of their actions.
