Noh mask Masukami

This is a grim mask of a woman. Loose hairs along the hairline and the hollows on the forehead express an upsurge of emotions. The mask is used for the roles of a great goddess like Amaterasu-omikami, a shrine maiden possessed with a spirit or that of a famous female warrior, Tomoe-gozen.
