The mask symbolizes a being that lost her human nature because her passion burned all the human feelings out of her including sorrow. This mask is used for a specially directed “Dojo-ji (Dojo-ji Temple).” The entire mask gives a slimy and gruesome impression, and the tongue shown among the teeth and fangs appears to be moving.
