Noli me tangere

The fresco comes from Santa Maria del Giardino in Milan and is among the first attestations of Bramantino's reaction to the monumentality of Bramante's painting.
The drapery is puffed and broken, the light is cold and metallic and the anatomical volumes are simplified. These elements enable us to trace the work back to the end of the fifteenth century.
