North side of the monument

A great traveler, Joseph Cadier became Ferdinand Cheval's neighbor and friend. He produced three drawings including plans of the Ideal Palace while it was under construction. The north facade has been half built and rests against the supporting wall, which runs alongside the waterway. Postman Cheval did not yet the own the land on the other side of the waterway, which would eventually allow him to continue his north facade.
