North South East West

A four-channel video installation in the Portuguese language. The four cardinal points are personified, and each is ascribed an idiosyncratic character: North is a passive-aggressive follower seeking order over chaos; South is a cosmic, outgoing idealist; East is in the throes of an existential crisis and engaged in a self-analysis of sorts; and West is a hopeless romantic. So they engage, harass each other, argue, and interact within a park setting, starting at sunset, when they make their first appearance.
