K. F. Ryleev’s poem dedicated to V. N. Stolypina was published in this newspaper.

Vera Nikolayevna (1790–1834) was the wife of Arkady Alekseevich, the brother of E. A. Arsenyeva, the daughter of N. S. Mordvinov. Arkady Alekseyevich knew N. M. Karamzin, V. K. Küchelbecker, A. S. Griboedov, and K. F. Ryleev. He was respected in the Decembrist circles for his civic courage, and was even appointed to the Provisional Government, along with his father-in-law N. S. Mordvinov, brother Dmitry Alekseevich, and Speransky. Vera Nikolayevna was an intelligent and educated woman who loved and appreciated literature. She was friends with A. S. Griboyedov and K. F. Ryleev.
After her husband’s death, Ryleev’s poem, dedicated “to Vera Nikolaevna Stolypina” appeared (12 May 1825) in the Northern Bee.

Do not poison the soul with anguish,
Do not kill yourself; you are a mother;
Your sacred duty is
To create wonderful children.
Let our fellow citizens see them
Ready to fall for their native land,
Let their fiery souls
Hate the untruth.
In the crowd of young giants,
Let us behold them stand, terribly proud,
And we shall boldly say:
Their father is Stolypin, their grandfather is Mordvinov.
