'Nostalgia' is an illusion about the past, as dreams are an illusion about the future.

“With 'Nostalgia' I have not tried to be revolutionary or to create something new. If my choreography is clear and my ideas translate well, I am satisfied. François Glorieux composed 'Nostalgia' in June 1973 and dedicated it to me. The impressionistic atmosphere of the music and my idea about a choreography practically correspond; this is why I gave my pas the deux the same title.” – Leon Koning
