London, United Kingdom

Note written on prison toilet paper by Kitty Marion to another imprisoned suffragette. The letter refers to the poor condition of the writer's hair which, seems to be 'falling out dreadfully here' (in prison). A lock of red hair is attached to the paper with a pin. The letter was written in 1914. It refers to the incident that took place 18 months earlier in September 1912 where Kitty's hair had been badly pulled by a mob opposed to her heckling of Lloyd George at the Welsh National Eisteddfod at Wrexham.
