Novruz

The Novruz Holiday is one of the most important and beloved holidays of the Azerbaijani people. It marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of the astronomical New Year on 20-21 March. The holiday lasts for several days but preparations for it begin in the last month of winter. The essence of Novruz is that people have always celebrated this holiday, rejoicing in the awakening of nature and saying good-bye to the old year, to Winter. This holiday with its ancient roots holds onto many customs and traditions.
