Nuremberg: Main market with Frauenkirche

The amateur photographer Joseph Eschenlohr (1886-1978) spent time in Nuremberg, among other places, between the 1930s and 1950s. On his travels, he captured the city in color slides. The photograph shows a view of the main market from the west with market stalls on the square, in the background the Frauenkirche (Catholic parish church of Our Lady); slide frame inscription: "Nürnberg".

This image contains a symbol that was used by National Socialist organizations. This may be shown in a scientific context (Paragraph 86, German Penal Code).
